MENDHAR, Aug 30: The police today registered an FIR against the chairman/ owner of a local private school for allegedly grabbing Government land.
A police spokesman said that on the directions of Tehsildar Mendhar, an FIR No. 140/ 2016 has been registered against Mohd Yunis, chairman of Public Higher Secondary School, Mendhar for allegedly grabbing nearly 5 kanal of Govt land.
The SDM had issued a docket to the chairman of the school to stop the work after Revenue officials reported the matter to him recently. But the school owner continued construction work. He has already raised three storey building on one portion of this land and was in the process of encroaching the adjoining land by raising structures. The work has now been stopped with the help of police. The investigation has been started.
