JAMMU, Jan 6: A First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged against Ranjeet Singh Neeta, the self-styled chief of the proscribed terror outfit Khalistan Zindabad Force (KZF), in the Miran Sahib area for allegedly issuing threats against the Government, officials said.
An FIR (05/2024) has been registered at the Miran Sahib Police Station under Sections 113 (committing a terrorist act) and 351 (criminal intimidation) of the BNS against Neeta, they said.
According to them, the case was filed after an audio recording went viral in which Neeta, operating from across the border, could be heard making threats against the country.
It is noteworthy that Neeta’s terror outfit, KZF, has been banned in India and 25 countries within the European Union, where the group’s assets have also been frozen. A red-corner notice has also been issued against Neeta for his repeated involvement in the anti-National activities.
