Jammu, Feb 1: In view of the ensuing Budget Session of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, the Government has ordered that the Finance Department and all Heads of Departments (HoDs) under its administrative control shall remain functional on January 31 and February 1, including Saturday and Sunday.
According to an order issued by the Finance Department , the decision has been taken to facilitate smooth conduct of budget-related work and ensure timely disposal of official matters ahead of the Budget Session.
The order, issued under Office Order No. 21-FD of 2026 and dated January 30, 2026, has been signed by Under Secretary to the Government, Vishal Kumar, JKAS.
“All concerned departments are directed to ensure full attendance and efficiency during the said days to meet the requirements of the upcoming Budget Session,” the order reads. (KNC)
