JAMMU, June 1: Jammu Kashmir Teacher Master Association (JKTMA) has demanded filling up of all posts of Masters and Lecturers in Government schools.
During a meeting of Association, held under the chairmanship of Trade Union leader Rakesh Singh and attended by scores of Teachers/Masters, resentment was expressed regarding the unprecedented delay in the DPC of Teachers to Masters & Lecturers.
Rakesh Singh said that due to delay in DPC and filling up of all vacant posts of Masters & Lecturers was adversely affecting the academic interests of the Govt school students. He explained that non-fulfilment of vacant posts of Lecturers in Hr Sec Schools is the key problem in implementation of National Education Policy 2020 at the ground. He stressed that the DPC should be based on 100 percent DPC quota as one time exemption as per the SAC decision.
While inviting attention towards the hanging Hr Sec Schools, Singh urged the Education Minister Sakina Itoo to make a provision to sanction posts of Principals and Lecturers in such schools.
The meeting passed resolutions seeking enhancement of HRA and providing Rural allowance to the General line teachers serving in far flung areas.
