JAMMU, Nov 4: President J&K National Panthers Party (NPP) Vilakshan Singh has demanded that all the vacant posts in the Government departments should be immediately filled and the promotions should also be granted to the employees in a time bound manner so that more posts are available for direct recruitment.
He said that the BJP Government has failed to contain unemployment in the country in general and J&K in particular.
Singh said that in the data recently issued by Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy, unemployment rate has increased to 7.77% in October from 6.43% in September. Singh said that in the data issued for J&K was among the worst sufferers with an unemployment rate of 22.4%.
Singh said that youth of J&K are already suffering due to lack of employment opportunities. BJP’s failure to run the administration properly has added fuel to the fire, he said, adding that BJP instead of increasing the employment opportunities in J&K is focussing on increasing the sale of liquor in J&K and making J&K a “liquor UT”.
He said that J&K Government failed to such an extent that the selection processes had to be scrapped due to large scale bungling in the said selection processes.
