JAMMU, Mar 7: In order to fulfill their commitment to empowering young women through education and skill development, FICCI FLO Jammu Kashmir & Ladakh Chapter launched Young Women Affinity Group (YWAG) and Digital Literacy Program.
In this regard FICCI FLO today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Government Degree College (GDC), Ramgarh.
The MoU was signed by Dr Geetanjali Andotra, Principal of GDC Ramgarh and Ruchika Gupta, Chairperson of FICCI FLO JKL.
As part of this collaboration, Young Women Affinity Group (YWAG) has been established at GDC Ramgarh, providing a dedicated platform for women students pursuing higher education.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Geetanjali Andotra expressed appreciation for FICCI FLO JKL’s efforts in introducing such impactful programs at the college.
In addition, the Digital Literacy Program in Financial Awareness was also launched in partnership with NIIT Foundation.
To ensure effective learning, the program will be facilitated by Dr Neeraj Bargotra and Dr Darpan Malhotra, who have undergone specialized training by NIIT Foundation.
Addressing the students, Ruchika Gupta emphasized the importance of financial literacy in today’s digital world and how this program will empower students with essential financial management skills as they step into their professional journeys.
This partnership marks another significant step by FICCI FLO JKL in fostering skill development and financial empowerment among young women, reinforcing its mission to create a brighter future for women in Jammu and Kashmir.
Among others who graced the event included Dr Aditi Khajuria, Associate Professor, GDC Ramgarh, Varuna Anand, Aarti Chowdhary and Nandita Bajaj.
