JAMMU, Oct 28: Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCSCA) Director, Amit Sharma here today met kerosene oil wholesale dealers of Jammu Division and gave a patient hearing to their problems.
The dealers wanted a review of the recent expansion of kerosene oil retail dealers’ network and demanded that kerosene oil quota of wholesalers should be increased. The Director said that he was already in communication with all the ten Deputy Commissioners of Jammu Division to provide realistic and exact requirement of kerosene oil in respective districts so that the decision regarding quantum of kerosene oil requirement can be taken in near future for all districts.
He assured transparency and systematic improvement in the functioning of the department and sought cooperation of all the wholesale dealers and retailers in controlling black-marketing of kerosene oil.
The kerosene wholesale dealers were represented by Vijay Saraf while Deputy Director Supplies, Joginder Singh Jasrotia and Office Assistant, Sandeep Dutta were also present in the meeting.
