The ever growing Tourism & Hospitality Industry needs professionals to run the affairs in a much coordinated, efficient manner.
In Jammu, Food Craft Institute (FCI) is also helping the local youth make a career in the Hospitality sector. The Institute is affiliated to National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology (NCHMCT) Noida, Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India offering 1 ½ year Diploma Courses in various trades of Hotel Management like Food Production (Cooking), Front Office (Reception), Bakery & Confectionery (Bakers), Food & Beverage Service (Servers), Housekeeping & Maintenance.
It is the only institute in Govt. sector, department of Skill Development J&K Govt. in Jammu Division where students from Rajouri, Poonch, Doda, Bhaderwah, Kathua, Basohli, Reasi etc get entry for making a career in the Hospitality Sector.
In order to make the local youth aware about such institute and the professional growth in the Hospitality sector the institute has visited various schools and apprised the students (10+2) to make a career in the Hospitality sector which is ever growing industry which gives them world wide experience.
They happen to meet personalities across the globe which helps them for personal as well as professional growth in times to come. This also helps to shape their personality when they work with people of various cities and countries.
A career in the Hospitality sector in present times is equally comparable with other careers and can stand ahead in terms of the exposure, career growth professional growth and stability at the later stage where they have to work across the globe and perform on world stage.
