JAMMU, Nov 28: Presiding Officer, Fast Track Court Jammu, Amarjeet Singh Langeh acquitted a rape accused after truncating proceedings against him.
The case was registered at Police Station Domana, Jammu against Sumeet Ramotra, son of Baldev Raj, resident of Samba for offences Under Section 376/343/504/506 IPC arising out of FIR No.109/2021 of Police Station Domana.
Rohini Manhas, APP appeared for the State while Sanjeev Padha, Senior Advocate appeared for the accused.
After going through the case the Presiding Officer noted that in a case where victim/prosecutrix does not support prosecution case at all and where prosecution case is doomed to fail, further pendency would only be waste of court time.
He further stated that in the same case the application of accused seeking truncating of proceedings has merit so it therefore, is allowed and the Challan is dismissed.
With this the Fast Track Court truncated proceedings and dismissed the Challan filed U/S 376/343/504/506 IPC.
