Abdullah was commenting on an alleged stone-pelting incident targeting a mosque and a madrassa in Kishtwar. Speaking to reporters at the party headquarters here, the NC president said such elements exist everywhere. “There are such people. This is nothing new. They will remain. They are devils, and devils will continue to do their work,” Abdullah said.
Reiterating India’s secular character, he called on the Central Government to take responsibility. “India is a secular country where every religion has Constitutional rights. Now it is up to the Central Government to tell the states to stop what is happening,” he said. Click here to watch video
