Condemns attack on Kashmiris

SRINAGAR, Jan 1: National Conference (NC) president Dr Farooq Abdullah today condemned attacks on Kashmiris in other States, comparing the perpetrators to Hitler and called for peaceful relations with neighbouring countries.

Speaking to reporters, Abdullah said, “There are some people whose purpose is something else. They are following Hitler. They want Hitler’s regime to start here. Hitler has disappeared. He shot himself. God willing, Nazism ended there. The time will come here too, when these extremists will end.”

Abdullah also expressed hope for stronger regional ties, saying, “I pray to God that we become friends with our neighbours and get out of these difficulties.”
Referring to the recent death of Khalid Zia, he added, “I am happy that our Foreign Minister went there and took part in it. Bangladesh is our old friend, and we have to strengthen our friendship.”
Responding to a question about the translation of the Indian Constitution into Kashmiri, he clarified, “No, it has already been translated. The Constitution has been translated into Kashmiri for many years,” he added.
