Farooq admitted to SKIMS, discharged

Srinagar, Nov 24: National Conference president and former Chief Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah today visited SKIMS, Soura for a pre-scheduled procedure to change the power unit of the pacemaker which he carries along.
For the procedure, a SKIMS official said, Dr Farooq spent his entire day at the hospital under the supervision of the doctors and other related staff of SKIMS.
Dr Farooq reached SKIMS at around 11 in the morning and underwent the procedure which took some time. He remained at the hospital until 6 p.m and after a thorough check-up and other necessary pre-requisites, he left home.
After the procedures, his son and former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah expressed his gratitude to the staff at SKIMS who attended to Dr Farooq throughout the day.
“I join my father & the rest of the family in thanking the doctors, nursing staff & others at #SKIMS Srinagar for the care they took today. He went in for a pre-scheduled procedure to change the power unit of his pacemaker & is now resting at home,” Omar tweeted.
