JAMMU, Aug 14 : In its drive to cover farmers living in the service area of the bank, Punjab National Bank is issuing ATM cards to all beneficiaries under Kissan Credit Card scheme. The farmers can avail disbursement in a hassle free manner from ATMs of the Bank using a simple PIN number.
Disclosing this Ashok Gupta, Deputy General Manager Circle Head J&K Operations informed that sufficient stock of KCC linked ATM cards is being procured for issuance to farmers in the State.
Mr. Gupta said that farmers in R S Pura, Bishnah, Shamachak, Akhnoor and other rural areas shall shortly be issued ATM cards linked to their KCC accounts to enable them to withdraw money from any ATM of the Bank. Similar facility shall be extended to farmers living in villages of Kashmir valley which are living in service area of the bank, he added.
The bank has ambitious plan of adding 50 more ATMs to existing 82 ATMs already located across the State of J&K. He said in view of ensuing holidays, special arrangements have been made to refill cash in ATMs of the bank so that no ATM goes out of cash.
