Farida Kouser bags U-16 girls sprint gold

POONCH, Oct 23: Farida Kouser claimed gold in Under-16 girls 100 meters sprint race in the Poonch District Athletic Championship, organized by District Athletic Association Poonch in collaboration with J&K State Sports Council at Sports Stadium, here.
Nagdh Tabassum and Ruksana Kouser bagged silver and bronze medals respectively.
In 200 meters Under-16 girls, Fareeda Kouser, Shahnaz Akhter and Navdeep Kour won gold, silver and bronze medals respectively.
Robina Kouser bagged gold in 400 meters race, while Nasreen Akhter and Shamim Akhter claimed silver and bronze medals respectively, while in 800 meters, Nagdh Tabassum, Nazia Kouser and Shazia Kouser claimed the first three places. In 1500 meters Under-16 girls, Shamshad Begum, Rubina Kouser and Shamim Akhter bagged gold, silver and bronze respectively.
Meanwhile in Under-16 boys, the 100 meter gold went to Mohd Sarfaraz, silver to Yaar Mohd and bronze to Istekar Ahmed, while 200 meters Under-16 boys gold was claimed by Yaar Mohd, while silver went to Zafar Ahmed and the bronze to Abdul Gani.
In 400 meters Under-16 boys, Navab Ahmed claimed gold, Mohd Sadeeq bagged silver and Manvinder Singh won bronze, while in 800 meters Under-16 boys, Satinder Pal Singh, Harpreet Singh and Akshay Kumar claimed first three places.
In 1500 meters Under-16 boys, Gurpreet Singh, Ajaz Khan and Rahial Qasim bagged gold, silver and bronze medals respectively.
3000 meters Under-16 boys gold went to Ishtkar Ahmed, while Harjeet Singh and Ishtiaq Ahmed bagged silver and bronze medals respectively.
In Under-16 boys long jump, Mohd Sarfaraz, Niwab Ahmed and Rahial Qasim bagged gold, silver and bronze medals respectively, while in high jump Under-16 boys Satinder Pal Singh, Rakesh Kumar and Abrar Khan claimed first three places respectively.
In shot put Under-16 boys, Mohd Sarfaraz, Niwab Ahmed and Mohd Abas claimed gold, silver and bronze medals respectively, while in discus throw, Ishtiaq Ahmed, Mohd Abass and Vasit Ali bagged first three places respectively.
