NGR, Young Rovers register resounding victories

JAMMU, Oct 23: NGR blanked Engineers XI by (4-0), while Young Rovers defeated Sainik Colony Football Club by a solitary goal in the ongoing Senior Division Football League Tournament, being organized by the Jammu wing of Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) at GGM Science College Football Ground, here.
Earlier, in the first match played today, NGR thrashed Engineers XI by four goals to nil (4-0) in a one-sided contest. Both the teams played defensively in the first half of the match and it ended goalless, while Ronny scored the first goal in 40th minute of the match, which was followed by another goal by Amrit Pal Singh in 45th minute. Omar pelted the third goal in 45th minute, while Rakesh netted the last one in 68th minute of the game to give his side decisive lead. Finally NGR won the match by (4-0).
In another match, Young Rovers scripted a win over Sainik Colony Football Club by a solitary goal. Rahul was the goal scorer for Young Rovers, who pelted it in 37th minute.
The match was officiated by Kamal Kumar, Saudhakar Mattoo, Sanjay and Harmanjeet Singh.
