KATHUA, Nov 24: Hundreds of people including family members and relatives of Ishu nullah triple murder sat on indefinite hunger strike in the premises of Shiv temple Billawar today.
The protestors said that they waited for nine months for justice and ultimately were forced to come to streets and launch the indefinite hunger strike to seek justice.
After performing a havan pooja for peace of deported souls and seek blessings of Lord Shiva for justice and fair inquiry in the murder case.
The protestors including large number of residents including women of Madoon , Deota, Machhedi ,Lohai, Kund and Billawer besides family members sat on dharna in support of hunger strikers. Chamail Singh one of the family member of victims from village Madoon said that it is very unfortunate that
the Government has failed in fair investigation in this triple murder case in which a minor boy Varun Singh , Yogesh Singh and Darshan Singh were killed in planned way and their bodies were thrown away in Ishu nullah on March 4 which were located after four days of their missing.
He said that the crime scene and condition of bodies openly verified the act of militancy. “Our three families lost their members and people are waiting for final report of police to declare it a plain murder case by terrorists”.
He said despite the passing of nine months, the police could not find out cause of death. The family members are still waiting for justice, he added.
He said since the last nine months police failed to submit any report. Even the Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted for investigation also failed to submit the report.
“When we did not get any positive response from police and Special Investigation Team (SIT), the family members decided to start indefinite hunger strike at Billawer”, he said . Chamail Singh said “I have lost three members of my family , my son, my brother and my brother in law. Today I took an oath to get justice or die during fast. I knocked every door of higher officers of police from SHO to IG but to no avail,. The delay in justice is deny of justice which is never acceptable,” he added.
The protestors again urged the Government to give justice to them . “It is very surprising that despite the passing of nine month the SIT did not submit it’s report and even police did not disclose FSL and postpartum report,” they said. They appealed to Lt Governor and Home Minister to hand over the matter to CBI or NIA for thorough investigation. They warned to continue fight till end.
