SRINAGAR, Nov 15: Police in Baramulla today said to have busted a fake SIM card racket by arresting three persons involved in the commission of the crime.
Acting on specific information, Police in Baramulla have busted a fake SIM card racket involved in issuing SIM cards against managed forged documents.

“Three persons identified as Owais Farooq Waza son of Farooq Ahmad Waza resident of Mohalla Jamia Baramulla, Suhail Aziz Mir son of Ab Aziz resident of Suhail Colony Baramulla and Javid Ahmad Kanjwal son of Ab Ahad resident of Jalal Sahib Baramulla have been found involved in the commission of the crime,” police said.
The arrested persons have been arrested and shifted to Police Station where they remain in custody.
Police said incriminating materials including mobile phones along with SIM cards, electronic gadgets and documents have been recovered from their possession.
“A case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Baramulla and further investigation is going on,” police said.
