Fake PRCs: FIR against 5

JAMMU, May 22: Bari Brahmana Police has registered FIR against five persons of a family for allegedly managing fake Permanent Resident Certificates (PRCs).
The accused have been identified as Rajesh Kumar, son of Dwarka Nath, his two brothers Bharat Bhushan and Pawan Kumar, Ekta Gupta, wife of Bharat Bhushan and Shubham Gupta son of Bharat Bhushan. All are residents of Arnia in Bishnah and presently putting up at Bari Brahmana.
A case under Sections 420, 467, 468, 474 and 466 has been registered against them for fraudulently managing Permanent Resident Certificates.
The FIR was registered yesterday on direction for the same by IGP Crime, Jammu following a complaint alleging that the accused are residents of Punjab but have managed PRCs of the J&K State fraudulently.
For enquiry and comments, the complaint was referred to the Deputy Commissioner Jammu who communicated to the Crime Branch that the PRCs of these five persons have been issued fraudulently by the Revenue authorities as discrepancies were found in the requisite documents for the same.
