JAMMU, Feb 25: The four-week faculty induction programme, organized by Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC), University of Jammu, in collaboration with the PG Department of Urdu, University of Jammu, was inaugurated today by Prof Manoj Kumar Dhar, Vice-Chancellor, JU.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Manoj Kumar Dhar stressed to organize the lectures of reputed scholars on information technology, National Education Policy, Human Rights, teaching-learning and assessment, curriculum designing, environmental consciousness etc. These types of courses should be organized online also so that more participants could participate, he added.
Prof Rahul Gupta, Director HRDC, discussed the aims and objectives of the course. He said that the induction programme for training Faculty & Academic Staff will familiarize them in their roles as freshly inducted university teachers.
Prof Shohab Inayat Malik, HoD Urdu and Dean Faculty of Arts, too highlighted that the Faculty Induction Programme (FIP) shall be implemented through the 62 centers under Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya Mission on Teachers and Teaching (PMMMNMTT) scheme of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) Government of India and 66 Human Resource Development Centers (HRDC) under University Grants Commission, New Delhi. These centers shall undertake three programmes every year with a maximum intake of 40 participants.
Ranjeet Kalra, teaching faculty, Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC) presented a formal vote of thanks. Near about 60 Assistant Professor of UT of Jammu and Kashmir are attending the course.
