JAMMU, July 14: In a refreshing departure from conventional entrepreneurship showcases, Fabric Nation today hosted ‘Unmute’, an intimate, afternoon gathering that put authenticity, resilience and creativity at the forefront.
The event, held within the warm, artfully designed space of Fabric Nation, marked a unique confluence of design and dialogue, where presence took precedence over performance.
Curated by Payal Saraf, founder of Fabric Nation and the design studio Samaya, Unmute was crafted not as a stage but as a circle.
Saraf, whose two-decade-long design journey has transformed homes and hearts across the region, envisioned the event as “a space for honest, human stories, where people speak not to impress, but to express.”
True to this ethos, Unmute brought together some of Jammu’s most spirited entrepreneurs and changemakers, each of whom shared personal stories of challenge, doubt and quiet determination.
Far from scripted success stories, the event offered raw, unfiltered narratives that resonated deeply with attendees.
The event was graced by three distinguished women leaders including Ritu Singh, who noted, “Spaces like Unmute are rare, where voices are heard not for their titles but for their truths.”
Devyani Rana, who described it as “a grounded and inspiring exchange, the kind of real, unfiltered stories India needs to hear.”
Aarti Chowdhary, reflected on “The power of women-led conversations driven by clarity, character and courage.”
The panel featured remarkable regional entrepreneurs, including Dr Palki Sharma, Ridhima Arora, Adishree Singh, Harman Khorana, Udit Kalra, Sakshi Khullar, Iruvanthika Chowdhary, Guneet Singh and Ashwarya Thakur.
Each brought their own journey to the table, sharing turning points that often came quietly, but shaped their paths profoundly.
As a brand, Fabric Nation brings together a tapestry of premium fabric houses and designer labels, offering everything from everyday elegance to couture luxury.
The store features collections from Floor and Furnishings, Maishaa and Nilaya by Asian Paints, as well as exclusive wall coverings and upholstery from Indian design stalwarts like Sabyasachi and Ritu Kumar.
Unmute emerged as more than an event and became a reminder that behind every brand is a brave beginning, behind every success a silent story.
