KATHUA, Nov 1: Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu in collaboration with Sri Hari Prabhu Sanstha held a one day free eye camp at Nagrota Gujroo, Ramkot in district Kathua.
A team of doctors and technicians led by Dr. Ashok Sharma, HOD Ophthalmology at GMC Jammu examined about 150 eye patients out of which 67 were screened for cataract surgery which will be done on November 3 and 7 free of cost at GMC Jammu. Transportation of these patients from Nagrota Gujroo to Jammu will be arranged by the Sanstha free of cost along with distribution of medicines.
About 35 patients having low vision were also given free eye glasses during the camp and these eye glasses were sponsored by Kuldeep Gupta, retired Optician.
Sanstha president, S.C Gupta and general secretary, Kuldeep Gupta thanked Dr. Ashok Sharma and his entire team of doctors and technical staff for rendering noble services to the poor and needy people in rural and remote area.
