JAMMU, Aug 31: Family members of Machail Mata pilgrim Rajesh, who went missing in flash flood due to cloud burst at Jashini Bridge in Kishtwar on August 20, has asked the Government to expedite the process to trace out the missing pilgrim.
Addressing a press conference, Rakesh, son of Babu Ram, a resident of tehsil Billawar, District Kathua and brother of Rajesh said that his brother had gone to the pilgrimage of Shri Machail Mata on August 19 along with his friend Makhan Lal alias Monu.
“On August 20, Rajesh went missing in flash flood, which happened due to cloud burst at Jashini Bridge, enroute Shri Machail Mata Temple”, he said, adding that Makhan Lal informed about the incident to them.
Rakesh stated that all the higher authorities of the State as well as Central Government assured to trace out Rajesh with the help of NDRF, Army and chopper service, but nothing has been done till date.
While speaking, Nanika, wife of Rajesh said that for the past 11 days, the authorities have failed to trace-out her husband.
She warned to come on roads and has appealed to the people especially students to come forward and extend support to her to awake the administration, which is in deep slumber.
She requested the Administration to register the pilgrims of Shri Machail Mata on daily basis so that the information regarding the missing persons can be gathered easily.
