Expedite probe into complaint against Transport Minister: SVC

JAMMU, Dec 16: State Vigilance Commission today reviewed the investigation of the cases having public importance and issued directions to the Vigilance Organization for fast track conclusion of probe.
While discussing a complaint lodged in the Vigilance Organization by one namely Ankur Sharma against Transport Minister A G Kohli regarding alleged encroachment/grabbing of land, bearing Khasra No. 356, situated at village Sunjwan, the SSP Vigilance stated at the Bar that reports had been called from different authorities and agencies in the matter during the course of enquiry and the same depict variations and conflicting views regarding Khasra numbers and boundaries of the land.
He further stated that many requests have been made to the Deputy Commissioner for joint demarcation of the land along with officers of Vigilance but till date nothing has been done on these directions resulting in delaying of investigations.
The Commission ordered Deputy Commissioner Jammu to furnish the report clarifying the factual status of the land. Meanwhile, Vigilance Organization was asked to furnish status report of the enquiry at the earliest.
The Commission also ordered personal appearance of SSP Vigilance on next date of hearing.
