NEW DELHI, Aug 13: Exotel, an AI enterprise organization, launched ‘AgentStream’, a real-time voice-enabled platform. The launch is intended to boost the capacity of AI-powered voice assistants.
AI-powered voice assistants refer to the software applications that leverage the power of artificial intelligence to understand and respond to spoken commands. They basically use advanced technologies like Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning (ML) for interpreting human languages.
‘AgentStream’ provides sub-20 millisecond latency, which is significantly lower than the industrial average of 150 milliseconds. It will allow AI bots to respond more quickly and collaboratively.
Users can leverage this voice AI bot on multiple platforms, including over Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN), WhatsApp, in-app channels, and WebRTC.
Sachin Bhatia, Co-founder and Chief Growth Officer, Exotel, said, ” Voice agents are on the rise, and most bot providers need robust voice infrastructure to operate seamlessly. In fact, the majority of voice bot-powered companies in India already rely on Exotel for our compliant, reliable, and seamless voice streaming.”
” With sub-20ms latency versus the 150ms industry standard, we deliver the fastest streaming available, enabling bots to respond with human-like speed and fluidity,” Bhatia added.
The move taken by Exotel also seems to transform the real-time voice infrastructure which are needed to AI agents for operating effectively. Exotel’s AgentStream will face tough competition from counterparts like Amazon Lex, IBM watsonx assistant, Google Dialogflow, and some others.
