JAMMU, Sept 7: A working committee meeting of Federation of Retailers Association (FoRA) was held here today under the chairmanship of Association president, Vijay Gupta to discuss the new GST policy recently announced by the Government of India.
All the members of the Association welcomed and hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman for the much needed GST reforms.
In his concluding remarks the Association president appealed to the Government of India to exempt packed edible oils, rice, flour and pulses from GST so that the consumers can buy good quality and branded goods.
