RAJOURI, Oct 7: Excise & Taxation team from Rajouri-Poonch range today laid naka on Mughal Road and imposed fine on several vehicles on the charge of toll evasion.
Official sources said that Excise & Taxation sleuths led by ETO Rajouri-Poonch, Sheraz Ahmed Chouhan laid naka at Chandimarh ahead of Bafliaz on Mughal Road today and intercepted several vehicles. While moving from Kashmir to Rajouri- Poonch and Jammu, via Shopian some of the vehicle were found plying without paying toll. The ETO imposed penalty on these vehicle operators and realised a fine of Rs 5450 from them on the spot.
The naka was laid on the directions of Excise Commissioner, J&K T. Angchuk and Deputy Excise Commissioner Executive Jammu, Naginder Singh Jamwal.
