JAMMU, Dec 11: Periodical monthly meeting of ex-Policemen League, district Jammu, was held at District Police Lines here today under the chairmanship of its president, K S Sambyal, Dy SP(retd).
During comprehensive discussion many issues pertaining to welfare of the ex-Police officers were discussed. In the meeting, they said that most of the retired are in the grip of the serious ailments requiring costly treatment which they cannot afford and the same are not available in the police hospital. Hence, sufficient funds to police hospital be provided so that needy police personals may be benefited.
The members present requested the Government to release 6% DA installment, reimbursement of medical claims to the retired police personals, reviving of SRO 458-P dated 13-10-1999 and taking care of the all the problems.
Others present in the meeting were Chirag-ud Din, P L Mathoo, Bachan Singh, R K Bali, Sagar Singh, B R Garyali, M L Mathur, Varinder Bhasin, Mohd Saleem, Yoginder Singh Jamwal, Jawahar Lal Gupta, Surjit Singh Jamwal and Balwant Singh Jamwal.
