JAMMU, Aug 26: Former Member Legislative Council (MLC) and State Secretary Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), Ch Vikram Randhawa, today released a Dogri song album ‘College- Di- Kurhi’ sung by Rohit Dubey and Khwaish Gupta.
While speaking on the occasion, Randhawa said that the youngsters are doing a marvelous job by promoting mother tongue, Dogri through songs and albums. He said that the people, leaving aside mother tongue, are speaking Hindi, Punjabi or English in their families but astonishingly are feeling ashamed in speaking Dogri which is our mother tongue and is sweet language.
Randhawa urged upon the people to promote mother tongue Dogri at home among siblings so that they may not feel shy while speaking it in public. He said it has been seen that those speaking Dogri at public places are treated as people from remote and backward areas which is the major hurdle in its promotion.
He congratulated the entire team of the album ‘College Di Kurhi’ for promoting Dogri language and urged upon the people to listen this album which is composed of melodious songs, and touches one’s heart. He wished the team a grand success.
The music of the album has been composed by Brocik and the Director of the album is RJ Rajput. Videography has been done by Pravel Studio whereas, editing has been done by KK Malhotra. The Project Director of the album is Sahil Mahajan. The entire team of the album extended special thanks to Rajveer Manni and Dr Nitin Mahajan of Jammu Institute of Ayurveda and Research.
