JAMMU, June 21: Former MLC and chief spokesperson JKPCC Ravinder Sharma has strongly criticized the PHE department for its failure to deal the acute shortage of water supply in most parts of Sunderbani and Nowshera area of district Rajouri and expressed resentment over the failure of Govt to deal with water crisis.
Addressing a meeting of party workers at Sunderbani, Sharma said that water and power situation is grave concern in the area and most of the population is badly affected due to failure of the Govt to augment the Water Supply Schemes and maintain tanker services in different areas.
Sharma said that 20 MVA transformer was replaced by 50 MVA during Congress-NC regime apart from sanctioning of Grid Station at Siot. He said previous PDP-BJP Govt failed to further improve the transmission system as well as expedite the construction of grid station, as a result the power is deteriorating.
With regard to water supply, people have to purchase drinking water from private water tankers as Government failed to augment the various supply schemes.
He also strongly resented over the failure of Govt to maintain special supply line to Emergency Hospital Sunderbani which is not working for the last 2 years and the patient are suffering. He accused the PDP-BJP Govt for favoritism and nepotism in the recruitment especially youth, who were subjected to worst kind of discrimination and neglect during PDP-BJP regime in the state.
