JAMMU, Jan 21: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Kashmir today produced challan against Peer Manzoor Ahmad Shah, the then Divisional Manager, SFC (Extraction South) Harnag Anantnag in the Court of Special Judge Anti Corruption Anantnag.
A case was registered on the outcome of verification conducted by this bureau into the allegations that Manzoor Ahmad had demanded and accepted Rs 5000 from the complainant Asif Shafi Shah son of Mohammad Shafi Shah R/o Hazratbal Payeen, Anantnag, a contractor as illegal gratification for submitting favourable report to the Managing Director SFC required for release of payment of the complainant due to him on account of transportation work of timber.
During verification, a case was registered against the accused official by the Vigilance Organization, now Anti Corruption Bureau in Kashmir and investigation was taken up. The investigation of the case was concluded as proved against the accused public servant.
The charge sheet of the case was produced today before the Court of Special Judge Anti Corruption Anantnag.
