SRINAGAR, Feb 28: Sheikh Hafeez Akhtar, former Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Kashmir and Ladakh, passed away in Srinagar today.
He was the father of Sarmad Hafeez, Commissioner Secretary for Youth Services and Sports, Government of Jammu and Kashmir. The demise has deeply saddened his family, friends, and well-wishers.
Many prominent figures from the administration, police, political leaders and civil society have expressed their sympathies, remembering Sheikh Hafeez Akhtar for his service and contributions.
