SRINAGAR, Apr 21: Former Union Minister and veteran Congress leader Prof Saifuddin Soz has demanded evacuation of about 300 stranded Kashmiri people from Himachal Pradesh.
In a press statement here today Soz said that he received phone calls from several stranded Kashmiri labourers from Kangra and some other places in Himachal. They have sought help from the J&K Administration. He said majority of the people are from Kupwara and other areas.
He urged upon the Lt Governor, J&K UT, G C Murmu to get these nearly 300 Kashmiri labourers evacuated from Kangra in Himachal Pradesh at the earliest. Soz said that he has also requested the administration to ensure delivery of food items to them by the local administration there in HP.
