JAMMU, Feb 16: Ek Sath Rang Mandal (ESRM) today staged its 504th Monday Theatre presentation, a progressive nukad titled “Insaniyat Zinda Rakho,” at the Flouriculture Park in New Digiana Ashram, Jammu.
The street play focused on the growing problem of drug addiction among youth and highlighted the need to understand its root causes instead of only blaming addicts.
The performance stressed that along with children, parents too share responsibility and must play an active role in guiding their wards.
The play underlined that parents should avoid domestic violence in front of children, closely monitor their company and remain alert to sudden physical or behavioural changes.
Retired Subedar Karan Singh, who has been actively campaigning against drug abuse among youngsters, also appealed to parents-especially mothers-to stay vigilant and create a healthy environment at home.
The audience appreciated the meaningful message of the nukad.
The play was written and directed by Vijay Malla, who also performed in it along with Shaliza, Poonam Devi, Darshna Devi, Shivani and Prem Singh.
