JAMMU, Dec 8: Ek Sath Rang Mandal (ESRM) in collaboration with BLSKS presented nukkad “Nahee Subsey Buda Rupaya” in its Monday Theatre Series, at JDA Park, Pakka Bagh, here in Rehari Chungi.
The nukkad started with ESRM ‘s signature group song “Jago Bandu Jago Bhaiyya Paar Lagga Dey Aapni Nayya” and gave message that money is not everything; human values are more important and one should not indulge in corrupt practices to earn money.
The story starts with Romesh, who is an honest person in his family and earns his livelihood by hard work and honesty. He follows the advice of his parents. But Romesh’s elder brother, Subash, who is a property agent, earns money by illegal means.
His father always gives him advice to work with honesty and not to indulge in corrupt practices, which will bring bad name to him as well as his family but all in vain. Soon, people start bringing complaints against Subash to his father, who warns Subash to stop his activities unless he will disown him in the court.
Father says that you can bring comforts and luxury by money but you cannot purchase self respect, name, status, love and relations by money. Subash realizes his mistake and assures his father that henceforth he will work honestly and will not indulge in wrong activities in future.
Actors who performed in the nukkad were Nav Chadak, Qurat-ul-Ain, Romesh Parihar, Surinder Chadak, Gopal Verma and Vijay Malla. The play was written and directed by Vijay Malla.
