JAMMU, June 13: Police re-arrested an accused, who managed to escape from the custody here today.
As per police sources, today morning, Sahil Masih, son of Arshad Masih, a resident of Christian Colony managed to escape from the custody of Police Station City.
He was arrested in a case registered under FIR Number 44/19 under section 454 and 380 RPC with Police Station City.
Police teams conducted day long raids at multiple locations and a team headed by SDPO City North, Jaswant Singh Katoch along with SI Rahul Dogra managed to re-arrest the accused in the evening hours.
Meanwhile, three cops have been suspended for dereliction of duty and a departmental inquiry has been ordered.
