SRINAGAR, July 18: The Committee on Estimates (EC) Legislative Assembly in its meeting held under the chairmanship of MLA, Ch. Mohammad Ramzan, threadbare discussed facilities being provided to the patients at G. B. Pant and other hospitals of the State.
Legislators, Dr. Mustafa Kamal, Harsh Dev Singh, Mohammad Shrief Niaz, A. R. Veeri, Ashwani Kumar Sharma, Naresh Kumar Gupta, Mohammad Ashraf Mir, Peerzada Mansoor Hussain, Mohammad Yasin Shah, Peer Afaq Ahmad, Syed Basharat Bukhari and Abdul Gaffer Sofi gave their suggestions for the improvement of the health sector. The panel stressed for development of the infrastructure and modern medical facilities at the hospital to minimize the infant death rate.
Among others, Commissioner Secretary Health and Medical Education, M.K. Devedi, Director SKIMS and other senior officers of Health and Medical Education Department besides officers of Assembly secretariat attend the meeting.
