EPFO Jammu conducts Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0 at Kathua

KATHUA, Mar 27: The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) organized its flagship public outreach programme Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0 in the premises of Chenab Textile Mills, Kathua with the objective of strengthening stakeholder awareness and improving service delivery at the grassroots level.
The programme was presided over by Sumeet Singh, Regional P.F. Commissioner-I along with team of enforcement officers, who highlighted the importance of proactive engagement with employers and employees to ensure timely and accurate access to EPFO services. He emphasized that such outreach initiatives play a crucial role in enhancing transparency, compliance, and trust in the social security framework.
During the programme, participants were apprised of major Government initiatives aimed at expanding social security coverage and strengthening labour welfare. It was informed that the Employees’ Enrolment Scheme 2025, operational from 1 November 2025 to 30 April 2026, provides establishments with a significant opportunity to enroll eligible employees and regularize pending records in a simplified manner.
The gathering was also briefed on the forthcoming implementation of the Four Labour Codes, which seek to consolidate and modernize labour laws. These reforms are expected to ensure fair wages, safer workplaces, comprehensive social security, and enhanced welfare measures, contributing to the national vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
Special focus was placed on the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PMVBRY), with detailed discussions on its objectives, benefits, and implementation framework. It was informed that 2,281 establishments and 30,567 employees in Jammu Division have already registered under PMVBRY, reflecting encouraging progress in formal employment generation.
