Enlist teachers, masters, lecturers as frontline workers

JAMMU, May 19: In a virtual conference here today All J&K Plus Two Lecturers’ Forum demanded inclusion of teachers, masters and lecturers serving at different COVID centres, in the list of frontline workers.
The Forum also demanded special incentives for such teachers and said that special training should be given to these teachers, masters and lecturers before deploying them for COVID duties.
It was also demanded that online classes for the students of remote area should be conducted on radio like previous year by DIET and SIE.
Various issues of the teaching fraternity including regularization of Incharge Lecturers, Principals and Joint Directors, ACP and filling up of all the vacant posts in the department were also discussed.
Prominent among those present in virtual meeting were Mushtaq Sopori, Mir Fayaz, Haji Mohammad Amin Shah, Abdul Majid Sofi, Javed Iqbal, Mohd Iqbal Shah, Altaf Ahmad Zargar, Fareeda Shook, Iqbal Rasool Mir, Nazir Ahmed Khan, Hafizullah Shah, Abdul Rashid Malik, Abdul Jabbar Bhat, Sahil Bashir and Dr Reyaz Mir.
Representatives from Jammu Division were Sanjay Bhagat, Ghar Singh, Dr. Ashok Kumar, Mukesh Kumar, Neena Puri, Dr Jyoti Malhotra, Nidhi Mahajan, Kewal Krishan, K.K Sharma, Bishan Dass, Rashpal Singh, Ram Krishan, Romal Singh, Charu Arora, Surjeet Singh, Dr Iffat Shah, Subash Singh, Rajeev Kumar, Dr. Jyoti Prakash, Dr. Anees, Varinder Dutta and others.
