Sir,
The news ‘Medical allowance of ex-legislators DE Mar 25 has been hailed and appreciated by all as it transpires the need in their oldage. Those putting forth such a proposal are indirectly supporting their own cause.
But there is no one to represent the genuine demands of employees and pensioners who have been pleading to the Government to enhance medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 p.m.
As a matter of principle our demand is more justified in view of the rising prices of medicare, a fact known even to a layman.
So our demand should get priority over others.
