Encourage youngsters to adopt daily Yog practice: Satish Sharma

BYS celebrates 59th Foundation Day

JAMMU, Apr 13: Bharatiya Yog Sansthan (BYS) J&K celebrated its 59th Foundation Day in the Ashram premises at Gole Gujral here, today. On this occasion, Satish Sharma Minister for Transport, Youth Services and Sports was the chief guest.
Satyapal Sharma, Prantiya Pradhan Bharatiya Yog Sansthan spoke about the activities of Sansthan and informed that Sansthan is rendering selfless service to educate people about the benefits of Yoga.
He further said that in J&K more than 80 Yog Kendras are functioning where thousands of Yog lovers practice yoga daily. These classes are being run free of cost. It was informed that Yog Sansthan also extending its services to Government departments like IMPARD, training officers of AG office army installations etc.
Minister of Transport, Youth Services & Sports, Satish Sharma appreciated the role of Bharatiya Yog Sansthan for providing free service to the general public. He was of opinion that youngsters should be encouraged to adopt daily Yoga practice, which can be an effective remedy to get rid off from drug addiction nuisance. He assured that shortly Yoga will be introduced in Government schools for which on-the-spot instructions were issued to the Youth Services and Sports Department.
Eighty Kendra Pramukhs who are running daily yoga classes in and around Jammu were honoured by the Minister.
Earlier about 400 Yog Sadhaks performed Samuhik Sadhna. Sadhna was conducted by Ranjana Verma Sangathan Mantri Jambulochan, Bharat Bhushan Sharma district Pradhan Chanderbhagha, Girdhari Lal district Pradhan Purmandal and Anupama Puri Sangathan Mantri Bahu.
Ved Prakash Sharma, Joint Director Youth Services and Sports Department informed that his Department will seek assistance from Bharatiya Yog Sansthan for the introduction of Yoga in Government Schools.
Proceedings were conducted by Jia Lal Sharma Prantiya Mantri of the Sansthan.
