SRINAGAR, Nov 7: At least three militants are trapped in a village after security forces cordoned it in Sopore area of Baramulla district.

Security forces including Sopore Police and 22-Rashtriya Rifles (RR) cordoned off the Sagipora area of Sopore. During the operation militants present fired on the troops leading to a gun battle. However, security forces put the operation on hold due to the presence of civilians in the area.
Security forces evacuated civilians from the encounter site to ensure their safety. The cordon has been strengthened to ensure that militants may not flee.
