JAMMU, Feb 10: A meeting of NC’s women wing workers was held at village Gandli in R.S Pura, which was addressed by Bimla Luthra, former MLA and State vice president Women Wing of JKNC and Vijay Lochan Chairman SC Cell of JKNC.
While addressing the women workers’ meeting Luthra said that Party has always been at the forefront of the struggle for gender equality, and it remains committed to ensuring that women in Jammu and Kashmir are empowered in every way possible. “Women are an integral part of our society, and it is our duty to empower them in every sphere – be it education, politics, or the economy,”she said.
Luthra emphasized that women’s empowerment is not just a political slogan but a core principle of the NC’s ideology. She added that women have a pivotal role to play in democracy as well as in shaping the future of the state.
Vijay Lochan, Chairman SC Cell asked the women folk to strengthen the party base and actively engage in mobilizing support at the grass root level. He also urged them to make people aware of the National Conference’s pro-people policies and the party’s commitment to equitable development. Emphasizing the importance of upcoming elections, he called upon them to gear up for the coming Panchayat and Urban Local Bodies elections to ensure a strong NC presence in local governance.
