SOCHI, Nov 14: A state of emergency has been declared in the Russian city of Novorossiysk following a massive overnight attack by the Ukrainian armed forces on the city, Mayor Andrei Kravchenko said on Friday.
“Novorossiysk was subjected to a massive drone attack by the Kiev regime. A state of emergency has been declared,” Kravchenko wrote on Telegram.
Drone debris in Novorossiysk damaged a Chernomortransneft tank and pier, the NUTEP container terminal, and an oil depot at the Sheskharis transshipment complex, the official said, adding that fires have been extinguished.
“We will provide all necessary assistance to all those affected by the attack. All resources are currently focused on eliminating the aftermath of the attack,” Kravchenko added.
