JAMMU, Aug 2: JMC Workers Union has demanded that the upcoming elections for Trade Unions of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) should be as per the established rules and regulations of the local body.
Addressing a press conference here today, Rinku Gill, president of JMC Workers Union, said that the contesting candidates for these elections should be registered with their union and all the unions participating in the elections should also be properly registered.
“We expect that the elections should be peaceful and fare,” he further said.
Gill also said that they expect that those who emerge as winners should work for the workers and other employees of JMC so that long pending demands of JMC employees are fulfilled.
“We will co-operate with the election authorities in every way for ensuring fare elections,” he maintained.
