JAMMU, Aug 11: An elderly woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances at Jammu Bus Stand area today.
A police official said around 2:30 PM, Bus Stand Police Station got information that a woman, aged around 90, was lying in an unconscious state at General Bus Stand Jammu.
She was taken to Government Medical College Jammu, where doctors declared her dead on arrival, he said.
While the body of the deceased woman has been shifted to the mortuary of the hospital for conducting the post-mortem examination, police have initiated inquest proceedings to ascertain her identity and reason behind the death, he said.
