JAMMU, Apr 8: An elderly person allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence.
As per reports, 80-year-old Sardarv, son of Sant Ram of Swankha Morh, Vijaypur, allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at his residence.
Finding him unconscious, family members shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where he failed to respond to the treatment and breathed his last.
The body was handed over to family members after completion of legal formalities, while a case has been registered and investigation started to ascertain the reason behind such extreme step.
