JAMMU, May 26: An elderly man, who was shifted here at Government Medical College and Hospital after his condition deteriorated suddenly at his residence at Kanachak, expired today during treatment.
According to a police spokesman, Inder Singh (80) son of Dharm Singh, a resident of Simbli (Kanachak), was shifted in serious condition to GMCH Jammu after he allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at his residence.
“However, the old man expired today during treatment”, he said, adding the body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for post mortem.
A case in this connection was registered at police station Kanachak and proceedings initiated under Section 174 CrPC.
