RAMBAN, June 15: The Jammu and Kashmir Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) Gool unit discussed burning issues of the employees and workers and sought intervention of the Chief Minister.
In a meeting of the Gool unit held under the leadership of Sub Divisional president Jalil Ahmed Sheikh, the employees discussed the key issues affecting employees in the region. The committee emphasized the need for prompt action on several pressing matters, including clearance of pending General Provident Fund (GPF) bills to alleviate financial hardship for employees, regularization of daily wagers, to provide job security and stability, revision of job policies and increase in honorariums for AAYAs in Schools, Anganwadi workers, Asha workers, and cooks, restoration of the old pension scheme in favour of employees appointed after 2010, and implementation of Minimum Wage Act for daily wagers.
The committee urged the authorities and specially the Chief Minister to take immediate steps to resolve these issues and address the concerns of employees in the region.
The Committee urged the Provincial president EJAC Sheikh Mohd Ashraf to put up all these issues with Government.
The meeting was attended by block presidents of affiliated units of EJAC, including Trisool Singh, Javed Ahmad, Irfan Shan, Zahida Begum, Alfaz Sharief, Altaf Manhas, Shahnawaz Hussain, Rukhsana Bano, Zahida Bano, Fozia Bano, Maneera Begum, Babli Devi, Kulsoom Begum, Zaitoon Begum, Mehnaz Bano, Yaseem Bano, Shahroz Bano, Rafiqa Bano and Zahida Kouser.
