UDHAMPUR, May 21: Police foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling and rescued eight bovines besides arresting the alleged smuggler.
Reports said that a Police team, led by SHO Udhampur Raghuvir Singh, intercepted a truck (JK05C-5709 ) at Jakhani naka point. During checking, Police found eight bovines laden on the truck and tied very cruelly without any valid permission.
Police rescued the bovines and arrested driver of the Truck, identified as Salman Khan, son of Sher Ali of Jakhar, Udhampur. In this regard, case FIR No. 182/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Udhampur.
