JAMMU, May 10: Various educational institutions celebrated Mother’s Day with pomp and show.
Mother’s Day was celebrated at Government ML Higher Secondary School, Udhampur. On the occasion, students, teachers and lecturers presented speeches on the importance of the day, followed by poems recitation, short stories, etc. Sunil Sharma, Principal of the institution also threw light on the importance of the day.
SM Shishu Niketan Higher Secondary School, Anand Nagar, Bohri celebrated Mother’s Day. Students of primary wing attired in colourful dresses depicted their mother’s personality. Students of higher classes delivered speeches. Kids also prepared cards and gifts for their mothers.
JK Montessorie Senior Secondary School and Little Millennium Pre-School Tirth Nagar celebrated Mother’s Day. A special function was organized to thank the builders of the society “Mother”. The children presented a colourful programme including songs, jokes and pranks, poem recitation and scintillating dance performances. Vice Principal of the school Geeta Dixit explained the vital role of a mother in a child’s life. Rajni Gupta, Director Academics also addressed the students.
Dewan Devi Higher Secondary School, Rajpura today celebrated Mother’s Day with great enthusiasm. The students enthralled the audience with their innocence, intellect and creativity. Various songs, dances and skits were presented by students. Beautiful cards were prepared by the students for their mothers. Principal highlighted the importance of the day.
Shiksha Niketan Pre-Primary Wing celebrated Mother’s Day. A variety of cultural programmes were presented by the students. Rameshwar Mengi along with incharge of the High and Pre-Primary wing and the house incharge threw light on the importance of the day.
Shemrock International School celebrated Mother’s Day with great enthusiasm. Kids danced on bollywood numbers, while mothers displayed their talent by singing, dancing, cracking jokes and sharing their valuable experiences. Cards and roses were distributed among mother prepared by kids. Director of school Bharti Bhardwaj shared her views and presented gifts to mothers.
DRS Kids Bantalab celebrated Mother’s Day. Art and craft competition was organised, in which mothers of the students participated actively. Sunanya Bali, mother of Sanir Dubey was declared winner of the competition. Antakshri competition was also organised between the teachers. Managing Director Kapil Chib and Surinder Chib and Principal Monica Sharma threw light on the importance of the day.
Kidzee, a play way school celebrated Mother’s Day at Anand Nagar, Talab Tillo, Gandhi Nagar and Channi Himmat branches. On the occasion, students attired in colourful dresses depicted their mothers’ personality. The toddlers also prepared cards and gifts for their mothers.
Mother’s Day was celebrated at Country Kids Playway School, Subash Nagar. Bhavna Raina, Ex-Principal, Army Pre-Primary School, Mamun, Pathankote presided over the function. Various activities involving the mothers were conducted and “Best Mother of the Day” was honoured with special award. Principal of the institution spoke on the importance of the day.
Little Millennium, a premier Pre School having its branches at Gandhi Nagar and Roop Nagar celebrated Mother’s Day in association with Hotel Fortune Inn Rivieria and Big FM at Fortune Riviera. The function was presided over by Arunima Sinha, General Manager Trainings Art of Living Foundation and Secretary IAS Officers Wives Association. Akhila Magotra, a renowned Social Entrepreneur and Chief Learning Officer, Little Millennium Pre Schools threw light on the importance of the day. Students presented various cultural items. Executive Chef Fortune Inn Riviera Vikas Mahajan, Dr Zarina, a leading Gynaecologist were also present.
